She may join in, brush in hand, with the Pas the Quatre from Swan Lake, or sit at the table slyly observing the other guests. We are reminded of Oscar Wilde’s mantra “Love me, hate me, but never ignore me” with Piera’s original contemporary art of paintings and drawings invariably eliciting an emotional response. This contemporary artist says “sometimes line will dominate, sometimes resonant colour… but whatever happens, must be the result of painterly vision.”
